BMS College was established in the year 1946 by Late Sri. B. M. Sreenivasaiah. BMS college of Engineering is the first private sector initiative in engineering education in India. With 72 years of service in the field of Engineering Education, BMSCE started with only 3 undergraduate courses & today, it offers 13 Undergraduate & 16 Postgraduate courses both in conventional and emerging areas. BMSCE has 15 departments of BMS that are recognized as research centers offering PhD/M.Sc (Engineering by Research) degrees in Science, Engineering, Architecture and management. The college is authorized with A Grade by NAAC (2013-2018) and Accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.
Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE), started in 1979, and was established by Sri R Dayananda Sagar. It is run by the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peeth Trust. It is situated in Kumaraswamy Layout, Bangalore South. Research programs supported by AICTE, AR&DB, KSCST are also covered by DSCE. It coveres 15 Undergraduate courses & 13 Postgraduate courses. In addition, it has over 20 research centres aimed at research scholars for pursuing Ph.D under VTU. Various courses of DSCE are accredited by the NBA. The campus is WIFI-equipped with large band width. The college has good faculty strength with high qualifications & experience.
