BMS College of Law
BMS College of Law, established in the year 1963 by Sri. BS Narayan, under BMS Education Trust. The Trust is named after Dharmaprakasha Rajakaryaprasaktha Sri. B. M. Srinivasaiah, whose vision bought about the foundation of the 1st private Engineering College in the State of Karnataka. The College is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University and is approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.
With an aim to impart quality Education, BMS College of Law has a strong foundation and infrastructure with a highly qualified and dedicated team of faculty committed to providing world-class learning experience. Alumni of the institution form a strong professional network and work tirelessly to contribute back to the Institution. The institution includes a spacious library with a collection of 18000 books and journals which are updated periodically. The Moot Court training persuaded by the college, effectively equips the students in enhancing their litigating skills.
The training and placement cell of college assists the students in obtaining timely allotment for the required internships in leading NGOs, Corporate and Law firms of the country. The cell also takes initiative in conducting placement related activities such as training programs, mock interviews, general aptitude and group discussion with special emphasis on soft skills, ethics and professionalism to promote rate of employability. Courses Offered At BMS College of Law:
Bachelor in Laws is an undergraduate 3 or 5 year professional degree course that allows a person to practice law. The degree is offered for 3 years for graduates and 5-year for students who wish to pursue law after the senior secondary examination. Bar Council of India is the regulatory body of Legal Education in India. Both, holders of 3 and 5-year degree are eligible for enrolment with the BCI upon fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission
An applicant who has completed Senior Secondary School Course ('+2') or equivalent (10+1, 'A' level in Senior School Leaving Certificate Course) from a recognized Indian or foreign University or from Senior Secondary Board or equivalent, constituted or recognized by the Central/State Government of India or from any equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the Government of that Country for the purpose of issue of International qualifying certificate equivalent to 10+2 on successful completion of the course, may apply for the course.
The minimum percentage of marks in qualifying examination shall not be below 45% of total marks in case of general category students and 40% of total marks in case of SC and ST applicants.
