The Vydehi Institute of Nursing Sciences and Research Center is privileged to have a large hospital of 1608 beds, situated in the main campus, close to college and the hospital. The nursing college is approved by the Government of Karnataka and affiliated to RGUHS. The program for nursing has received accreditation from the Indian nursing council.

B. Sc. Nursing - Duration : 4 Years, Number of Seats : 100
Candidates must have completed 17 years on or before the 31st day of December, of the year of admission
Candidates should have passed any other examination conducted by Boards/Intermediate education established by the State Government/Central Government and be recognized as equivalent to the two-year pre-university examination by RGUHS/Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with English as one of the subjects, and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects, and the candidate should have passed PCBE individually.
Candidates must have obtained a minimum 50% marks in PCBE taken together in the qualifying examination. With respect to candidates belonging to the SC, ST or other backward classes, the marks obtained in PCBE taken together in the qualifying examination should not be less than 40% instead of 50% as mentioned above.
Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing Course - Duration : 2 Years, Number of Seats : 40
Passed in GNM after 10+2 or equivalent examination with respective state.
Candidate be a registered Nurse and registered Midwife with any State Nursing Registration Council
Candidate above 48 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission will not be eligible.
Foreign nationals: (including Nepali, Bangladeshi, Bhutani, and Tibetan refugee) seeking admission must have valid certificate of registered nurse by their own country.
General Nursing & Midwifery - Duration : 3 Years , Number of Seats : 60
Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination ( any subjects )
Foreign nationals: (including Nepali, Bangladeshi, Bhutani, and Tibetan refugee) For admission to GNM program candidates should have qualified 12th standard obtained by association of Indian University/ Institution or equivalent.
Post Graduate Courses
M.Sc Nursing - Duration : 2 Years, Number of Seats : 25
Passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) or Post Basic B.Sc. In nursing degree from Karnataka RGUHS, or any other university accepted as equivalent by RGUHS.
Minimum one year work experience after obtaining B Sc Nursing (Basic) in a hospital or a Nursing educational institution health setting. For candidates with Post Basic B.Sc. In nursing degree, no experience needed.
Registered with State Nursing Council as a registered nurse and midwife.
